Greetings,
We have had our new Dell Inspirion 530 with Windows Vista Home Premium since March '08. We had Webroot Spysweeper installed at the store and it has worked fine.
A few days ago I installed windows updates and after that Windows Defender began to run.
I only want to use Webroot and have not been able to turn off Windows Defender. Can anyone instruct me on how to do this?
Thank you for your help,
chipaula
On your own head be it, Open w/defender then goto TOOLS - OPTIONS & uncheck all the boxes.
Then goto w/Firewall and ensure defender is not in use there. By disabling defender you are also interfearing with microsoft updates for other programes other than just defender. Remember vista is still a baby and is constantly being updated, new service packs are being created day by day to improve the "ultimate operating system" lol yeah right. I disabled mine last year and had nothing but trouble.firewall wouldnt let things in/out ,internet kept crashing.I eventually had to uninstall the nightmare that is NORTON anti virus. and find a program that would work well along side defender and the one i recomend is AVG. its free, easy and defender loves it.Defender is a major part to the whole windows operating system.I dont think you can fully disable it as you will find out eventually.

Is there a way to reload the wav file or the bounced 8 tracks back onto the MR-8 as a single track and then use the remaining 7 tracks to add more tracks and make a new 15 track song? I understand there may be limitations to doing it like this but it seems I could even as simply as play the CD back onto track one and record it as the first track and then add more tracks. Let me know what my options are for this scenario of putting the completed/mixed/bounced 8-tracks back onto a single track on the MR-8 and then recording further with it. Thank you for any assistance you can give me Bernie Ball
