a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

If you had a storm, and the only handset that works shows line in use, then your base has gone bad and needs repair. The reason the phones are flashing base 1 or something to that effect is because they don't see the base anymore, which typically means no phones will see your base, so its odd that one phone is actually seeing the base. Either way, you can try re-registering the phones to the base, but if you get the line in use after they register (if they will register), then your base is bad. If they won't register, your base is bad. For additional assistance you can go to www.cordlessrepair.com

SOURCE: No dial tone
It seems you can receive the calls and dial the numbers, by clicking hand free key you will hear the tone. Regarding answering machine I wonder you activate it or not for activating the machine just click the On/Off key on the base or from the main menu on the hand set choose Voice Mail section then activate Answering Machine, in this section you have other options such as Ring Delay (for choosing the delay before Ans.Mach. pick up the phone), Announcements (playing and recording announcements) and Massage Length. I know this problem was posted ages ago, and no doubt the poster has solved it, but I hope giving a solution now is useful for some poor soul who, like me, who has spent ages surfing trying to find a solution, to no avail.
Basically, the problem is NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR PHONE. I discovered that our telephone supplier (Virgin Media in our case) gave us a free voicemail service without telling us. This service cuts in before the answerphone and takes messages which you don't know are there - apparently they are indicated by a break in dial tone but of course with Gigaset phones you don't use a dial tone!
So, people leave you messages (which you don't know are there, and so ignore) and after a while your mailbox gets full.
To access this mailbox you need to call 1571 - when you finally discover this you'll be surprised at how many important calls you've ignored.
To turn the service off you need to call the phone provider and it can take 24 hours for it to be turned off. Beware though, it took me 20 minutes to get through to the service provider. I then spoke to someone in India and was then transferred to someone in England who resolved the problem.
Finally we are back to normal. Phew!
