Question about Nikon COOLPIX P90 Digital Camera
Lent to camera to someone and they changed the settings, Now the point and shoot settings are grainy and poor quality. Would like to reset to straight out of the box so I get beautiful pictures again. I am camera illiterate. Thanks JW

You should change the ASA or ISO equivalent value--ie, change from 200-speed film to 1600-speed film. This will make the photo appear "grainier" but will show more detail. You can also manually choose slower shutter speeds--even longer than one second--but this will require that you hold the camera very steadily, probably on a tripod.
When you put the picture into your computer, you should be able to modify it with any available software. You can make the picture brighter, change the contrast, or change something called the gamma curve. ALWAYS work from a copy of the original file, so if you screw it up, you still have the original information intact!
