Question about Audio Players & Recorders
I am trying to power my receiver on and off with the cable company's universal remote. The manual for this device lists 4 codes for kenwood receivers, (0186, 1313, 1569,1570), but none work. It has an option to "search" for the code, again, no luck...
The remote is a "UEI Atlas OCAP 5-Device" operating a digital cable box. I know that the reciever is OK because I can power it on and off with it's own remote. Also, the cable remote works fine with the other devices, (cable box, DVD, TV). Hope that's enough info...
Player can be made to work without remote. But it is a pain.
You need to press pause then play in the right combination.and you can get both DVDs and Blu Ray disks to work. I bought a store floor model that did not have a remote. I went through the same problem when I would lose the remote for the HD-DVD player. My four year old daughter knows this trick pause pause play for DVDs and pause play pause play for blu

30176 is the code you need . Press Aux and then hold setup until Aux lights up. Enter code. If you want the remote to control the receiver all the time, press Aux and then hold setup until Aux lights up. Enter 993 then press Aux. Aux will flash, now press Cbl and Aux should light up when you use the volume.
