Question about ASUS A7V8X-X (90-M7A690-W0EAY) Motherboard
Trying to boot but as soon as I start the PC I get a two second beep one second pause two second beep one second pause that just continues and continues
Sounds like not enough power. have another look at the board, the 4 pin connector should be near the I/O shield near the top of the board, just above or beside the CPU. sometimes it is on the edge of the motherboard (so the plug pins are parallel with the board surface)

SOURCE: my computer does'nt boot
One long and 3 shorts beep on Asus Motherboard is video error, either the video adapter is malfunctioning, or the video card is not well plugged int its PCI or AVG slot.
If video adapter is built in motherboard you need to buy an external video adapter, or to replace the motherboard.
If video card is an external one, must be taken aout and placed back to test it, if it is faulty replace it.

SOURCE: My pc doesn't boot anymore.
This code usually refers to a Video card or RAM issue. Try reseating both the video card and then RAM to see if it fixes the problem. If not then try removing the video card and rebooting. If the system starts without the beeps then you'll know the video card is bad and you can replace it. If it still beeps then try removing the RAM one stick at a time, rebooting after each removal. When it boots you'll have the bad RAM stick isolated and can replace. Hope this helps.

have you recently fitted new hard ware to *********** board if so remove it and replace with old one.
especially video card and memory
What the beeps mean is that something is not correct on the board
and is telling you before further trouble
