Question about Bose Televison & Video
Added new batteries but still nothing happens when pressing any button on remote
Check the battery contacts of the remote control for any rust or dust accumulated. If found, clean it. Use a piece of nice type emery paper, of the file of a nail cutter to clean it. Insert the battery again and check. If it do not help you, check the remote sensor inside the main unit for any damage. It is a skilled work, and you must have thorough knoledge in electronics to follow up.

SOURCE: RCA TV Remote Malfunction
From your post I understand that the tv is not turning on even if you use the button on tv, if that is the case there is nothing wrong with the remote control, and from the blinking light shows that there is something wrong with the tv. Get it checked by a qualified service guy.
