Question about Proscan PS52650 52" Rear Projection Television
Just was given a 52650 and moved it home. wouldnt turn on. after replacing my hv splitter, and adjusting the red and blue lines in screen mode, the white lines (and everything else) are jumpy and active moving up and down fractions of centimeters. Tech is coming to help, but any advice before then. Will replacing c-4012, c-4014, c-4102, c-4104, and c-4108 help. I have them. Is it a manual convergence problem?
SOURCE: Green screen
If the lines you see are retrace lines, It means that the 200VDC are missing and not getting all the way to the video amplifier assemblies.
Did you touch the screen control settings by any chance before you replace the HV splitter?

According to the manual:
1) go to the "TV Main Menu"
2) Select "Screen"
3) Select Adjust Projection TV (obviously only if a projection TV).
This then allows you to adjust the TV's 3-colors. Selecting GREEN CENTERING brings up a control panel that lets you center the green projection tube on the screen. Selecting RED CONVERGENCE or BLUE CONVERGENCE lets you align the Red & Blue projector tubes. Centre the green projector tube 1st. Then adjust the red & blue until the test pattern on the TV screen appers white.
