Cannot readjust Apparently one of my kids friends messed with the menu. Now i have to max out the bright and picture to be able to see the picture somewhat. Still very dark. I have tried to readjust everything but it is still bad. I tried to make the so-called hidden codes come up but that didnt work either. thanks Jeff

Fix color?

You may have a picture reset button available to you in your menu choices under display or picture. If not you will see a menu with color, contrast and brightness or something along those lines. With your remote make all of the settings for these the same with them set in the middle of the virtual slider. That will even you out and you can adjust to taste from there.

The picture frame still scrolls pictures but the pictures are very dark and unable to be seen well. Is the frame ruined?

Hi, Don't put screen in direct sun light or bright light. Bright lights will destroy LCD screen. The LCD screen has some adjustments on back. You might be able to readjust picture brightness.
Good luck.

Color

see if there is a "default" option, if not set everything back to the middle, if the colors are still off you sure its not the convergence?
most big screens allow you to change "color temperature" it's like a default adjustment for 3 different brightness levels.... ie...COOL, WARM picture will show obvious changes in brightness

On your remote control, press the huge circle, which should be settings or menu, there, go on brightness, put it up to max if u want bright, and low if u don't .If the problem still happens, ask customer service to help, or return it!!

Sony Camera reset to default setting?

I do have a DSCT100 which has the same menu for this model.

You could go to the HOME menu, look for the Settings icon that looks like a briefcase. Inside the settings go to Main Settings 1 and look for Initialize.

You could also reset it by removing battery for a few minutes.

Hope this helps...ü
