I have a Packard Bell Easynote TK87. I've noticed that if the brightness of the screen is any different than 100%, there is a beeping sound. In fact, the dimmer the screen, the lounder the sound. It seems like the sound is coming from the bottom, middle part of the screen. Does anybody know how to solve this? Thanks.

The battery is probably faulty, try a different one. If it does the same thing with a different battery, then must be a short in behind the battery socket on the laptop. In that case better take it to service.

If the laptop is more than two years old. Time to replace the battery. The power meter is not a reliable way of seeing a bad battery. If just one of the cells in the battery is bad it will not run your laptop , and the meter still would show 100%
