Is this the first time you try to download the pictures from your binoculars/camera to your computer?
What kind of communication error did you get? Did it say anything else aside from "communication error"?
What operating system are you using in your computer? Windows XP? Windows Vista? Windows 7? You camera supports Windows 98, 98SE, ME, 2000 and XP.
Make sure that you have pictures in your camera. Also make sure that the USB cable is connected properly.
If you still have the problem, check if the drivers are installed properly. To do that, right click on "My Computer" then click properties. Click on the "hardware" tab and then click device manager.
If you see a yellow '?' next to "Other Devices" and "?! USB
DIGITAL STILL CAMERA" then you need to uninstall it and then reinstall the drivers/software that came with your camera.
Update me if you need more assistance.
