Question about Mordaunt Short 906 Rear Speaker
I am trying to remove the aluminium cover on one of my Mordaunt Short Avant 906i speakers but it seems to be attached by something else as well as the 6 obvious screws. Any ideas how I can open it up? And once I've one that, is it fairly easy to replace the tweeter? I'd begrateful for any advice Thanks Lewd Dog
Hi - Just reading your problem with the 906's and removing the front cover to replace the tweeter. Did you ever solve the issue? because I tried today and I can't budge the silver cover once the screws have been removed. My email address is email@example.com if you can help - thanks

I don't have the solution for you but I know someone who very likely does. You can message a user on the sound and vision forums by the name of irritateguy.

I had similar problems my tweeter was blowen and it had to be replaced... I actually blew the speaker many times using a NAD amp as there were spikes coming from the amp. I changed the amp to a Marantz PM7200 and have had no problems since.
