Turning on grill blows fuse on Electrolux EOG7330WN

Hi,
I am having a problem where my oven my oven will not turn on.  No clock, no gas releases and no igniting sparks - a dead oven. I replaced the fuse and the oven came back until I tried to turn the grill on.  This reliably blows the fuse immediately.  Looking inside the grill there doesn't seem to be anything out of place.  I had though that the igniter might be shorting, but it doesn't look like it.  Even when the fuse is replaced, although the main oven doesn't blow the fuse, it still doesn't seem to work.
Any ideas?
Chris

I have had a similar problem insofar as the oven is completely dead. I know it is not the fuse in the wall. Wonder if there is a fuse internally as well? I was part way through cooking something. Opened the hob extractor hood. It came on. I closed it and left the kitchen. About 20 minutes later when I came back noticed that the oven had stopped so not sure if my opening the hood blew a fuse then or maybe it wasn't related? Anyway all I know is it doens't work now!

SOURCE: I have an electrolux EOG6330

Hello dishboy,

There are 2 possibilites causing that

1) The electrode(spark plug) for the grill is is built up with a bunch of grime and not telling the spark module the burner is lit and turn off the spark. The electrode could be cleaned with the green srubby side if a kitchen sponge,or relpaced.

2) The electrode is telling the spark module to turn off but the spark module isn't responding, to turn off the spark. The spark module would need to be replaced

I hope this helps,

Gene

Try turning the power off to the oven at the meter box and leaving it off for an hour or so. This will allow it to fully reset. When you power up again, reset the clock time and set to manual cooking , hopefully , all will work again.

Good Morning Friend,

I understand that your Electrolux double oven, model# DD060GA, is having trouble with the bottom oven coming on. I also see that your top oven works just fine. This appears to be a UK Electrolux double oven. I suggest contacting the manufacturer directly. They will be able to better assist you in getting your bottom oven functioning correctly.

-Best Regards-

Make sure there is power to the timer. Should be a fuse somewhere.

Electrolux oven eog7330xn stopped working

Hi Chaps,
I have an 18 month old Electrolux Gas oven model No: EOG7330XN which worked for 14 days then died. There was no power displaying and I called Electrolux to service within the warranty period. The engineer removed the front control panel and replaced a fuse inside which brought it back to life.
Am I right this is possible, I have removed the panel but can't see any fuses?

Electrolux oven wont heat up after power cut

hiya
sounds like the fan element could have blown, causing the electrics to trip out. best thing to do is remove all the racking
and then the rear panel that covers the fan and element. if he element has blown most of the time it will be visible.

hope this helps

please dont forget to rate the helpfulness of this reply thanks kj
