Open Question

The premium you earned

I was simply following the course of the process, and your name popped up first..that is the only reason that you got the money..no sweat from me, but I can tell you that the premium system is truly flawed..

Hi this is on my screen after I have put user passwords in after ive rebooted my hp omnibook Xe 3 and it pops up every 20 secs. It looks like message services.I think . does anybody know. Please. ?

This behavior can occur for any of the following reasons:
  • Your password list (.pwl) file is damaged.
  • A service or program that loads during the startup process conflicts with another service or program.
  • You are using user profiles.
  • There is a hardware conflict on your computer.
  • A hardware driver on your computer is missing or damaged.
  • If profiles are enabled, Windows may not be able to contact the primary domain controller's Netlogon share when looking for a Config.pol file. (Windows checks for a Config.pol file even if policies are not used.)
  • Your primary domain controller (PDC) is not local to your Windows 95 or Windows 98 clients.
  • A single user profile is corrupted.
  • Your network adapter is not correctly seated.
  • You are using a reserved word for your user name.

How to reset to factory setting

If you can log into windows then simply go to all programs and click on Acer Recovery Manager and follow on screen instructions, if you cannot login then you need to power on the notebook and tap Alt + F10 at the same time untill you see a notice at the bottom of the screen stating "Windows is loading files" then again simply follow the on screen instructions to run a factory default recovery.

How do i reset my gateway mt6705 computor back to factory setting

Step 1:
Click "Start" on your Windows desktop. Navigate through "All Programs" and "Gateway." Click on "Gateway Recovery Management." Click "Restore" when the Gateway Recovery Management window pops up, which will take the system back to the default factory specifications. A box will pop up asking for confirmation, click "Yes" and then "Start." You may have to enter a password as well, but only if your particular Gateway had a password set. Wait for the computer to restart. A "Restore from factory default" box will appear, requiring you to click "Next" twice in a row. Click "OK" in the box that appears next, and wait for the hard drive partition to be created. The factory default installation will then be moved over to the hard drive. Click "OK" in the box that appears and wait for a second Gateway restart. Several minutes will pass as Windows "starts for the first time." When restarting finally finishes, a "Set Up Windows" dialog box will appear. Click "Next," followed by checking the license agreement box, and then "Next" again. Enter a user name and picture, if desired, and a computer name. Also, customize the background wallpaper for your desktop, optionally. Click "Next." Click "Use Recommended Settings" on the Protect Windows-based dialog box that pops up. Set your correct date and time settings in the next box. Select your location in the following screen. Click "Next," followed by "Start" to finish. Wait while Windows checks for your individual Gateway computer specifications and adjusts accordingly. This will likely take several minutes, so leaving your computer for a short time is fine. Windows will then prepare your hardware and finish your Gateway restoration process, including the installation of Gateway Recovery Management. Once completed, your Gateway is good to go and ready at factory settings.

...i want this laptop.but i have no money yo buy

Hi.
Well Bambee, I guess you need to get a job of some kind to pay for the new computer.

It could be any kind of job, just as long as it earns you enough to pay for the computer.

There are several online types of jobs that you might be interested in, from reading e-mails, to taking surveys, to being a webcam model, to doing online research for others.

You can also become a paid online consultant here at Fixya, just by answering questions from people just like you that need answers to how things work, and how to fix things, to how to set up e-mail accounts and almost every other type of problem you can think of.

Fixya can earn you the money you need by becoming a premium expert.

All you have to do is answer enough questions in a single subject, then apply for premium status.

Lauren in customer service will review your account, and depending on the quality of your answers, will either approve you for premium, or deny it for some reason.

I hope this helps you get your computer, and have a good day.

Dell Media Direct Cannot access hard drive due to bitlocker encry

Sounds like the hard drive was encrypted prior to the upgrade to SP2.

If that's the case, you may have created a password during the encryption process. See this reference to recall the steps for encrypting a hard drive with Bitlocker.

Follow the steps for unlocking your hard drive and you should be ok.

If for some reason, you never encrypted the hard drive and do not have a password, then the encryption may have been caused by some bug in the upgrade and you should contact Microsoft to resolve.

I want to remove my Vista Home Premium (64 bit) os and replace with XP Pro

All you need to do is insert your Windows XP disk at start up and boot the disk by pressing any key when prompt to. Then run a clean install since a upgrade will not be available. You may want to backup your programs e.t.c.

Toshiba Satellite L45-S7409 - View laptop display on TV

This is a simple process (yes easy to say from my side of the screen)
A visit to your local PC shop should have this fixed in minutes.
What you need to ask for is a VGA to TV converter. This is one just from a quick search of the net, but there are hundreds of types and prices to match of course.
It simply takes the signal from your second monitor port on the laptop and converts the signal for the TV.

Simple to setup =)
Try to find a brand name unit though, just for the support and backup services they offer.
