The scanner needs to be programmed to hit the enter for you. Motorola Solutions article ADC-00316 has a link to the barcodes you need to scan: Scan Options, Data Suffix and Enter. This link should take you there: portal motorolasolutions com
Download the quick start guide from support.symbol.com and reset to default by scanning the code from the PDF manual. This could either be a programmed ASCII prefix, or an error in the codes you are scanning. Have you seen the same problem with more than one scanner?
The Motorola support site has an FAQ (ADC-01589) that contains the barcodes to get the LS1902 to add a CRLF after the barcode: Scan Options, Data Suffix, Enter. If the article is no longer there just download the LS1902 or LS1900 series Product Reference Guide to print the barcodes from there. They are usually in the Miscellaneous section.
This is a custom setting. You will find on the user manual (and also at the bottom of the Quick Start guide) a special barcode that, when scanned, toggles between "CR after barcode" and "No CR after barcode".
Print Adobe pages 128 and 129 of 302 of the M2000 Series Product Reference Guide and scan the "Scan Options" "Data Suffix" and "Enter" barcodes. The scanner will give two beeps after the first barcode, two beeps after the second and a warble after the third programming (Enter) barcode.
it depends on the configuration of your host and scanner. Usually there it works like this:
Connect the scanner to USB or per Keyboard Wedge
Select the correct language set for your Scanner
Try to scan your barcode
if this will not work - enable the barcode you need to scan with the programming barcode from Manual
The Barcodes needed to set up the device are listed in the Reference Guide at http://support.symbol.com/support/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=5093002apdf
