Question about ASUS Eee PC 1005HA-PU1X-BK Netbook
This works for my Asus Eee PC
1. Shut down and remove the battery.
2. Press the power button 10 times, next 1 minute pressing down.
3. Remove the memory and at the motherboard you'll see a clrrst (clear reset cmos..)
4. Short these 2 tiny pads by placing a tiny screw driver for 5 seconds, plug the power adapter and turn-on the switch, next wait at least for 3 seconds. Remove the power adapter.
5. Place back the battery and turn-on. You'll see the same screen (Logo of Asus) then patiently wait for at least 10 minutes or more. That's it.Good luck.

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I had the same problem and from other forums I found that you have to remove the memory and short cmos . To short cmos I use screw driver to connect two copper pads.

It should be a "trickle" charge, i.e., just turn it on, and a small amount of current will be used to recharge the CMOS battery, in the same way that driving your car recharges your car's battery.
