Re: beeping light coming from unit
Unplug the unit for two mins. and plug it back in. That should stop the blinking & beeping, but blinking & beeping mean a problem. What kind of operator do you have? Maybe I can help you troubleshoot the problem.

The only thing on a chamberlain garage door opener that can beep is the battery back up unit. It beeps if it is being used or if it has lost it's charge or if it has lost the power to be charged. There is also an led light that will give you information on the status up by the battery too. These will be in your manual to decipher. You can get a new battery at chamberlain.com Thanks BB
IF YOU HAVE A MULTI METER TEST FOR VOLTAGE AT THE CENTER PRONG OF THE LIGHT SOCKET (BE CAREFUL)
THE PLASTIC SOCKETS CAN GO BAD.
OR THE CIRCUIT BOARD MAY NOT SUPPLY POWER AS IT SHOULD - CIRCUIT BOARDS ARE A FAIRLY EXPENSIVE FIX.
More than likely the battery back up is being used or the battery back up unit has gone bad. There is nothing else on a garage door opener that can beep. Look in your book ti decipher the beeping and color of the led codes it is giving you. Thanks
My battery is bad. I knew it, but did not feel like it was worth any of my attention. The beeping started yesterday and this was worth my attention. Everyone in the family complained. I suspected it was the battery.
I unplugged the unit. Disconnected the battery. Waited for 30 seconds. Plugged it back in. It works fine and no beeping.
If you have a Craftsman/Liftmaster with a 3 function wall control: use the lift button to turn the light off. push and hold the light button for @1min. until the light flashes. This should reset your operator to have the light turn on when you walk through the photo eyes.
Try unplugging the unit, unscrewing the bulb and with a small scrapping tool (small flat screwdriver) scrap the bottom contact and the contact on the threads. Bend the contact on the threads a little too make better contact with the bulb. Screw the bulb the bulb in completely.
