This happened to me to. I was listening to it when I arrived at my destination, and I thought I turned it off and I put it in my pocket. Later that day when I went to listen to it, it wouldn't turn on at all. Aparently, it had stayed on. Hold the pause button for five to ten seconds. The apple symbol will appear on your ipod. Immeadility put it in your docking station before it goes away. Your ipod will turn on, and itwill start charging.

I hope this helps. Please rate my solution.

I hope I wasn't too late.

Depends how adventurous you want to be. It's most probably needs a new battery but could be a number of things. It's a matter of trail and error to work out what the error is. I would advise trying a new battery and if that doesn't work sending it or taking it to a repair center.

What type of ipod and how old is the battery ?

iPods have revolutionized the way we think about portable music and video players. Occasionally, however, your iPod may freeze and no longer turn on or off.
Luckily, there is a simple fix for this predicament.
1
Toggle the lock switch on and off several times, leaving it on the off position.
2
Hold the "Menu" and "Select" buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears on your iPod's screen.

3
Repeat steps 1 and 2 if necessary, until the problem is corrected.

4

Ensure the iPod will not turn on or off by holding the power switch down for at least 10 seconds.

5

Hold the "Power" button and the "Menu" button simultaneously until the iPod powers off.

6

Hold the "Power" button until the Apple logo appears on your iPod.

I got my iHome a little less then 2 months ago, I never had a problem with it and it worked fine. Just this morning I charged my iPod Touch with it and it worked fine, then I tried it again later and it...

If it is only two months old, put it in for repair under warranty.
The fact that two devices don't charge indicate it is probably faulty.
Before you do, first check all the obvious things.
Check the docking cradle is clear of fluff, paper or cat hair.
Check that any switches are in the on position.
Check that all cables are plugged in.
You may not have changed anything, but someone else may have.

Ipod is frozen does not respond

Greetings,

Here are the steps to recovery. Its very simple:
  1. Let the ipod sit until it dies. (this shouldn't take more than 2 days)
  2. Plug your ipod in.
  3. Charge till completely full.
  4. Try to use the ipod.
This should fix your frozen ipod. Thank you for using FixYa! =) If I helped, please give me a rating.

Because if you charge the battery too often you might be getting something which is called a "fat battery" which if what happens as well if you charge a cell phone too often, it could also be that the cable that plugs into your computer to charge it could be dusty inside...

Shuffle wont charge and wont turn on

Depending on the kind of shuffle, it may just be a simple software reboot.  My firstgen did the same thing for weeks.  If you have a second computer with iTunes, plug it in there, and wait for a message that will tell you if the iPod is corrupted.  Follow onscreen instructions to reinstall software.  you will lose all your music but the iPod should be working again.

Won't turn on.

I had exactly the same problem as Damma32.

This solved the problem:
I plugged the ZEN out from the PC and pressed the reset-button, then pressed the play-button while turning it on again. when the creative logo appeared on the screen I released the play-button and a recovery-meny appeared. I used the clean-mode, which fixed the problem.

Battery Problem?

It's possible you damaged the battery but not likely. The ipod has a circuit inside it to prevent overcharging (i.e. it stop scharging when the battery is full).
I would try the five R's at apple's website and then try charging it again and see if it fixes the problem.
See the five R's here:
