I need to install my epson dx 6000 series to vista but the cd wont install

If you have the CD which you might have received with the printer go ahead an install the driver software using the CD.

If you don't have the driver CD to install the Printer Driver go to this website to download the driver for the same.

If you are install the printer using the CD, try not to plug in the usb cable in the begning/ the driver software will ask you to connect the usb cable so try to connect it at that time.

When you install the printer it asks the language in which you want to install the printer in the beginning of the wizard. You have to uninstall the printer software and then reinstall it with English language.

Cant find such a scanner, are you sure of the model "performance", If it is not Vista compatable, ie if Epson have not released a Vista driver, then it is not going to work with Vista.

See Epson web and download driver if available, if not change scanner or operating system or purchase software

Check your Epson product CD to see if it already contains Windows Vista drivers. If the CD indicates support for Windows Vista, follow the instructions that came with your Epson product to install your driver and other software.

If your Epson CD does not indicate support for Windows Vista, DO NOT INSERT YOUR EPSON PRODUCT SOFTWARE CD IN YOUR WINDOWS VISTA COMPUTER because the setup program is not compatible with Windows Vista. Instructions for installing additional software from your CD may be available with your driver download.

Note: If you already have ArcSoft PhotoImpression™ 5 installed on your Windows Vista computer, you may need to install a "patch" program. Go to the ArcSoft website to download and install the patch.

Products that are not Vista compatable are not capatable with Vista, who would figure hey!!

You need to make sure to install the correct driver for the correct OS.. This Printer is Discontinued product however below link might be able to help you to get your driver...

Hope this helps. Install the nearest series printer driver it maybe available with Vista (DX8000 series). Other option I used to deal with my client with hard to find drivers, I used printer driver emulation. Hope you still have the manual to check with the printer drivers emulation. Last resort, is to find nearest Epson national distributor or Authorized Service Center. There might however extra fee if needed for the CD copy.

I cannot send you a CD -- I do not have one but I can show you where on the internet you can download the drivers and manuals for this machine. According to Epson's Vista support page even if I had a CD you would still need to download the Vista drivers. (They apparently were released after the CD)

Epson does not seem to have instructions on how to install the downloaded software.Try installing this the first two in the order they are in the list they are the only ones applicable to windows Vista. (assure you only install downloads for VISTA.
