My Eureka Mighty Mite 3670 Bagged, was working fine, and we unplugged it to switch to another outlet in another room and it just stopped. We tried several other outlets and it just won't turn on. We thought maybe it got hot because we had been using it for a while and we let it rest for a while and then changed the bag just to be sure, although it was not full. But it still will not turn on. Any ideas……X

Today put in new bag and ran it continuously for 45 minutes. After I turned it of it wouldn't restart. Tried another outlet and wouldn't restart. Felt canister at back and motor housing was hot so I thought I might need to let it cool down. After letting vacuum cool off for 10 minutes it restarted. All I can assume is that the vacuum has a built in overheat sensor on the motor. Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Eureka Mighty Mite #3670 Bagged Canister. I have the same type Mighty Mite Canister and from what you are saying the must be some type of heat sensor that is shutting off the motor to protect it from excessive heat. Al of the old ones have had lower amps and did not needs the heat sensor but once the bag is full and the filter clogged; they will shut down as well. They all use a plastic hose to clean with and that even gets hot sometimes. So I suggest that you get an owner’s manual from the manufacturer on you particular model so that id if happens again, you will be prepared. How do I change the belt on a Eureka Mighty Mite II.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Normally the Mighty Mite II does not have a belt unless you have the model with the turbo head and then I believe it is a geared belt and then you can pup the belt from your local vacuum cleaner dealer or the Eureka factory parts dept. there are 2 to 4 screws on the bottom of the turbo head and then I believe the top will come up and then you can get to the belt. The average belt change is every year if it is a geared belt for the best cleaning or if you have a flat belt it is every 4 to 6 months. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

I hope the nut is stripped and the stud is OK. Try to gently wedge something below the nut and with a socket attempt to slowly unscrew it.

They do not use model names. Under "Products" click "Chain Saws"; find an image matching your model and click it. Some list a manual that includes an IPL some do not. If no IPL is listed the only place to get help is the "Repair Center" nearest you for parts. I doubt a bad stud can economically be replaced.
If the stud is still good NAPA Auto Parts can assist you to find a replacement nut. HTH

There really isn't much to know about this vacuum in the owner's manual. It has attachments, doubles as a blower by attaching hose to back end. Practice the usual safety standards like don't use near water. Ck the prefilter on bag changes. That's about it.

Need to replace belt in eureka envirovac model 4470


You must remove the screws that hold the top cover onto get to the belt. Remove top cover then remove brush roll to install new belt. Replace belt at least twice per year for proper cleaning.

THE INTAKE TUBE IS BLOCK PLUGGED...! FROM BOTTOM OF VAC SCREWS REMOVE WHERE TUBE IS AND CLEAR OUT BLOCKAGE REVERSE PROCEDURE FOR RUN.

Brush stopped rotating and little suction on unit.


Even though the brush is spinning, you probably need to replace the belt2_bing.gif because it is stretched. It is probably slipping on the beater bar..
