Question about Sanyo VPC-S7 Digital Camera
My Sanyo LCD screen broke. By broke I mean black stuff is under the screen and the rest of the screen is just blank white. The rest of the camera is ok. I just want to figure out how to fix the screen or do i just buy another one.
THE SCREEN YOU REFER TO IS ACTUALLY PART OF A UNIT CALLED THE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND HAS TO BE REPLACED AS A UNIT. FINDING THE PART WILL BE VERY HARD AND CHANGING IT IS A VERY TECH HEAVY JOB! YOU'RE TALKING MICRO CIRCUITS AND TINY PARTS. PLUS, WHEN THEY BUILD THESE CAMERAS, THEY REALLY DON'T EVER PLAN TO OPEN THEM UP AGAIN TO "FIX THINGS" IF YOU GET THE IDEA. I KNOW THIS DOESN'T HELP, BUT THERE ARE PLACES THAT WILL FIX THIS, BUT THE COST IS STEEP AND YOU CAN EXPECT TO BE WITHOUT YOUR CAMERA FOR AT LEAST A MONTH OR MORE, BECAUSE THEY FARM IT OUT ALSO TO AN OVERSEA REPAIR UNIT, MOST LIKELY. SO, IF MONEY IS IMPORTANT, THE BEST OPTION IS SPRING FOR A NEW CAMERA. SORRY, BUT I HATE TO SEE YOU SPEND LOTS OF MONEY ON A REPAIR LIKE THIS.
