Actually it will only work on high but not on any lower speeds.
high speed bypasses this assy.
the blower motor resistor assy is located behind the glove box and
needs to be replaced.
just lift out the glove box and it is on your right side.
part is only available from a Chrysler/Dodge dealership, relatively inexpensive ($30) and easy to replace.(remove 2 hex head screws with a socket or nutdriver)
An amateur can do this!
New part has a one year warranty, keep the receipt it you might need anotherwithin 12 mos.
Have found that replacement parts never last as long the originals.
Have replaced mine 3 or 4 times now my 14 year old can do it
if I am away.

2001 dodge caravan front heater does not work but the rear heater works fine

Your resistor is burned out that is why you only get high speed. Also the front blower motor is out. But check the wiring going to the resistor and make sure it is not burnt, if it is it also has to be replaced. Just went through the same issues.

Heater fan only works on high

this problem is caused by a defective fan speed control resistor. This part is located in the air duct work next to the blower motor.
see photo.

2002 dodge grand caravan heater blower only works on high spped

If you are looking for the fan blower resistor, it is located behind the glove box. No tools need to get to it and a nut driver to remove the 2 screws to replace it. A 20$ part.

Heater fan no workie

Hi my name is Allen!

If the blower motor is not working the most likely cause is the blower resister, but you must replace the blower motor also because the resistance build-up inside the motor is what damages the resister.

Heater fan regulation

2002 Grand Caravan. The rear heater also has a resistor for the fan speed control.(3 speed) It is located under the rear passenger side plastic cover. You can take off the rear tail gate lower plastic piece and this will let you pull out the side panel. You can reach in and take out the two screws that hold in the resistor and unhook the wiring adapter. You do not have to take off the whole side panel as you can reach in from the back. The resistor unit can be bought at you local dodge dealer.
