SOURCE: Rheem Criterion II - blower works OK w heat or AC, not by itself

does the blower do anything? turn the power off and take the lead that comes off of the "cool" ( wire from the blower motor) and hook it up to the outlet side of the door switch ( the wire that comes off the door switch and goes to the board) turn the power back on and push the door switch in this will allow 110v to the blower if the blower runs the blower is good

reatach all door switch wire and blower wire to "cool"

disconnect all low voltage terminal wires at control board from thermostat make a jumper with a seperate wire from R to G if it runs it is your Thermostat or the wires inbetween the two

if it doesnt you probably have a burnt solder spot on the back of the control board and will need to replace the board

hope this helps

SOURCE: problem w/ dometic penguin a/c. upgrade kit?

You know what, I have never ran into that yet in 15 years, so I think your best bet would be to go to, (dometicusa.com) and send then a quick inquiry to confirm, what would be required, they are usually pretty helpful believe it or not.

SOURCE: looking for manuel reset on heater amana ptac

I have a Amana PTAC Model PTH153A50AC with the DigiSmart upgrade kit (DSUK01B) which as of last night stoped generating heat. I tried the Diagnostic and got a "LF" displayed. But I find no reference to what LF means. HELP please. Also I looked but can't find a reset button either.

I have removed front cover on amana model ptc153b35am unit says it has got a manaul reset for heater cannot locate it can you help

The manual reset is a small switch on the computer control board. If that doesn't fix the problem, while you are there, you will see 2 small black boxes wired into the computer board marked "heater 1" and "heater 2". These are relays, one of which has probably gone bad. You can either order a computer board for about $100 or replace the relays yourself with a soldering gun. You can order the relays for $4.02 apiece from Digi-key Corp. Part # is JTN1aS-PA-F-DC5V for the relay.

Where is the Manual Heater Reset Switch on an Amana A/C and Heater Unit Model number PTH093B35AJ? The unit has several stickers that state it has a "Manual Heater Reset Switch".

Almost certainly it is a bad relay on the circuit board. Sometimes you can slap the side of the unit by the control box to temporarily unstick the relay, after which the heat will come on for a cycle or two. There are two relays on the circuit board marked "heater 1" and "heater 2". You can order a new circuit board for about $100 or replace the relays at $4 apiece (order online from Digi-Key, requires solder connections). Part number JTN1a-PA-F-DC5V.

Model PTC153B50AM no longer heats

The heater relays (little black boxes marked "heater 1" and "heater 2" on the circuit board are known for going out. $100 will buy you a new circuit board, or you can order the relays from Digi-Key for $4 apiece if you are willing to solder them in yourself.

I have a Amana unit Model# PGA60C1152F that has a blinking light on the control board it blinks 4 times. That heat will come on then go off but the blower nevers comes on.

look on the inside of the door that you took off and there should be a diagram and on that there will flash code that will tell you what 4 flashes means.i think it is a flame rollout or high limit.

I have an amana air conditioner (ace245e). It

seems like the control board is bad,
if you have experience with electricity you can test the fan & compressor bi-pass the power from the board to the compressor terminal, if the compressor run you know for sure the board is bad

No power to ac indoor fan motor

sounds like you might have a bad control board. try putting a jumper wire on the control board low voltage terminals R and G your fan should come on and run if you have 120v power to fan motor. double check that you do have 120 leaving board and going to motor. if no 120 bad board if you do have 120 bad motor. if it is the board it likely has a bad blower relay which is common in amana models and goodman equipment.
