if you still have problems and I don't know for sure if this will work, but attatch the ipod to your pc and open it in itunes reset it from there and it may set it back to its original settings. The reason I say I don't know if it will work is because I am not sure whether or not it will ask you for a password to do this. But it is worth a try. You will have to download your music onto it again though

Cant change the volume, shows the sound bar going up, but doesnt get louder

Use the Five Rs to restore the iPod. You will lose the data that is currently on it if you restore but you can always re-sync the data to the iPod.

There should be a volume adjustment in the settings menu. This will limit your volume or you can set it to off or loud

Dynex iPod Dock with Remote Control connected to a tv. Volume not loud enough even though volume on tv and ipod volume are all the way up.

i had the same problem. it seems that you have to use the remote to turn the volume up on the ipod instead of doing it manually. that worked for me.

The problem might be from the earphones, you might need to try differnt ones. As much as I know there's no mp3 noise emphlafier. Thoth you can search for an mp3 player noise reduction plug in don't think there's one thogth.

Volume not loud enough

Actually there is a way. If you re-encode the file using an mp3 conversion utility, you can adjust the volume there
