LG Tromm washer LE code

I have an LG Tromm WM2277HW throwing le code, I have replaced the Stator, the motor pump, the sensor assembly, checked the wiring for any breaks and made sure contact is good on all points with a meter.

I have done everything I can find on any board and still am getting the error. I have had five or six techs look at the thing, tell me to fix something or they try something and I still get the error.

I am at wits end here, I have run afresh through the thing but after every repair all I get is one maybe two loads max and the thing kicks out the same error.

I even checked to make sure the fault code was correct and that no lights were out on the panel. I have run the QC cycle and get the error as soon as the drum tries to spin.

Please help.

Just started having the same problem. My washer was purchased in July of 2007, thought it would be problem free for a few more years? Will let you know what I find out regarding what's wrong.

I have had the same problem with this model and after several techs looked at it, they deemed in "un fixable". This has taken over 2 months - the washer died early December. After many calls to LG they finally said "too bad" we won't do anything for you. All we asked for was a pro rate on a new washer. I am so angry with LG I might as well flushed the $1800 I spent on this washer down the toilet. The washer is just over 3 years old and to top it all off my husband is an LG DEALER for their HVAC equipment. Needless to say we had to go out today and purchase a new washer - it's a GE!!! My husband is no longer a dealer for their products and we will never buy another LG product and encourage you all to do the same!!!!

I have the same problem. I've just removed the stator and was going to order a new one along with the sensor. Now, I'm not sure it won't be a total waste of money. Thank you for the information. I hope someone out here has more information to add.

I had the same problem and when I called LG they had me go through these steps and it worked:

Unplug your washer for 30 minutes

Run the washer and be sure to select NO SPIN on the spin speed (this will drain whatever whater is sitting in your washer)

With the drum empty, run the washer on the Rinse and Spin cycles 3 times. (this will get rid of the suds that are still in the washer)

This seemed to have done the trick. I hope this helps someone.

I shouldn't even respond to this if you have had 5 or 6 tech look at it because I don't want a Thanks for Trying, but it sounds like you are at the end of your rope. The pump motor should not have anything to do with the problem. If you did not have anything in the tub, including suds, doing the QC test, and you have checked and replaced all you have said, the only thing left is the main PCB part number 6871ER1078T

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

LE error in your LG front load washer is displayed when either the motor is not working or the control board thinks that the motor is locked up. A Hall effect sensor is used in these washer which monitors the speed and direction of the motor and then forwards this information to the control board. Hope you understand by now that this LE error is displayed when their is an issue with the motor or when the hall effect sensor sends wrong signal to the control. Conclusion is you'll have to check both motor and hall sesor and replace the part# that is bad, usually I have seen the sensor going bad. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

I have an LG Tromm washer. I start it up it start

Hi,

LE code stands for locked motor error. When this error code appears in your front load washer it indicates a fault in the motor unit.

1 . Check the connections to the Coil/Stator at the rear of the unit possibly it should be something like a broken wire.

2 . Coil/Stator Assembly will be defective preventing the drive to operate. You should go for a replacement of that assembly.

Thank you !!

Our LG Tromm Washer is struggling to spin. Humming sound in the beginning and then displays LE on the panel. Heard it may be the Stator Sensor/Part. Any Advise please!!!

Definitely the Stator/Sensor/Hall switch. Go to http://www.mcminone.com and order part number 6501KW2002A (if your machine is model number WM2277HW). Remove rear panel, remove three retaining screws for sensor wires at left bottom of drum, remove drum outer retainer bolt in center, stator assembly is now exposed. Remove bolts holding stator assembly (I think there were six) and replace switch assembly by lightly prying tab locks off of stator. Press on new switch and reassemble...

LE light came on and washer stopped. Tried another load, washer filled but does not run

The LE code means a motor error. Lock error, you may have to try replacing the Hall Sensor and if this doesn't fix the problem then you need to replace the Stator as there may be aproblem between the Stator Assembly and the main PWB Assembly.

LG Tromm washer is not working with getting LE message.

LE code means locked motor error. you need to check the Hall Sensor. unplug the power, remove the rear washer panel, locate the Hall sensor connector on the stator behind the rotor. you can test it with an OHM meter for failure. it may just be an unstable connection.

Error Code LE on LG Tromm WM2277HS

Locked motor error. Cause: The connector (3-pin), male, white) in the motor harness is not connected to the connector. (3-pin,female,white) of stator assembly. Or the electrical contact between the connectors. (3-pin,male,white) in the motor harness and 4-pin,female,white connector in the main PWB assembly is bad or unstable. Or the motor harness between the stator assembly and main PWB assembly is cut (open circuit) Or the hall sensor is out of order/defective

I have the LG Tromm, WM2277HW. I followed the

I took the entire washing machine apart. I checked the drain pump as the repair service said I needed a new one, as well as a rear and front drum, shocks rear bearing assembly. Would you believe the only thing wrong with the unit was that the drain pump was clogged at both ends. Machine is running fine and not throwing the LE Code. The repair service (LG recommended dealer) should be shot for telling me to throw out the unit.

Turned on my washer a TROMM LG wm2277hw and at every cycle turn it beeps LE

LE means a faulty motor. The motor is called the "stator" in this machine. Located behind the back panel. Pretty easy to replace in this machine. Replace the stator and it will work like new!
