Question about LG VX9800 Cellular Phone

LGVX9800 Dials out but caller cannot hear me

Our VX9800 is doing something odd. We cannot hear the phone number as we dial it and the person we are calling cannot hear us. Is there a setting that is controlling this or is the phone dying? Thank you.

When calling someone cannot hear anything!

As Swimducky has suggested earlier, what you need to do is to 'delete all' in your previously called numbers, then it dials out just fine. lame, but it works. :D

No sound unless in speakerphone mode. It rings & dials just fine. However, when I flip it open, I can't hear the caller. I can communicate normally if I switch into speakerphone mode. This is a recent...

Seriously, sometimes if you have the other person yell, it will just magically "pop" back in. THis only lasts a few minutes though. Unless you can deal with speaker phone, I suggest a new phone.

Caller ID set up and poor audio quality

Set up the callers in your contacts. You must have the area code for the name to show up. You must dial the area code for the name to show up when dialing out.

The hearing problem could be the person you are talking to, if your volume is all the way up. If you are sure that it is you I would talk to a motorola technician. Let me know how it goes.

Sounds like a keypad problem. Try opening the case and cleaning the keypad mat.
