Try changing the av to another channel or if you have access to a front panel or side panel on the tv set, try using this for your av leads 'red' 'yellow' and 'white'. Also check that the av lead is correctly inserted into the back of the wii

I rented a game from family video. disc plays with sound but the picture is scrambled. all other games work just fine as well as the homescreen.

Hello,

You said all other games work fine on your video game apart from the one you rented from Family Video. I think the game you rented is not compatible with your video game.

Take the game back to Family video, return the game and collect another one. Or test the game with scrambled picture on a friend or family's game and observe if it's going to play with the scrambled picture or not.

This is to verity if the problem is from the game or from the disc. But from my own point of view, I think the game disc is incompatible with the video game........

Let me know if this is contrary to your question....

Regards.

I was playing a game which froze up the system. When it came back on it had a message about an HDMI source and I said yes. I got no sound though. So I went into sounds and now have sounds, but am trying...

As you may not know, not all games support the HDMI feature.
There is a very high possibility that the game you are trying to play does not support HDMI feature.
You can also go to your video settings and try to adjust the settings for the display and see if it helps.
If it doesn't work, you might have to call the customer care of sony or the company which makes the game.
Hope this helps?

My picture started flickering the other night while playing a game. Then I went to turn it on today and I can't get a picture, there is still sound however. Thinking maybe a video card problem or something...

Its sounds like a video cord problem, if you are hooked up by the yellow red and white cords to your TV, adjust them until the picture returns, its a VERY common problem on EVERY TV and console since the SNES. Could also be the plug on the back of the PS3 if you just play with the cords your problem should resolve.

FC twin will not play SNES games. produces sound only

Try cleaning the cartridges, DON'T USE RUBBING ALCOHOL!!!!!! This can ruin the cartridge, there is a cleaner that you used to be able to buy (haven't look for one in a while). Check with your local game store or on ebay.

My playstation won't show picture or play sound!!! going nuts on spring break!

Your playstation2 has almost lost it edge in circuit electronics. Especially the michrochips involve in video, sound and power supply is already burn out its link. Due to over use time of the unit you play. From time to time michrochips burn out their IC link which cause the problems we encounter.
