Phone rings 6 rings before voice mail picks up

I have the 900mhz cordless phone. I have looked the phone over and can't find a switch allowing me to switch my phone to 3 rings before voice mail comes on. Can you tell me what to do to get less rings? Thank you. Mignon Brown

The same internet where you found fixya can also be used to find memorex.com.

How about this? http://www.memorex.com/manuals/MPH6990-03OM.PDF If your model is the 6990 or close, you press MENU 3 times and can set the rings to 2,4,6,8 or tS which answers on the 4th ring if you have no messages or 2 rings if you do.

    I could point out that it took less than 2 minutes to go to memorex.com and find cordless phones, but I'm sure you don't want to know that.

You need to program the internal voice mail to pick up calls after 6 rings , or program your answering machine to pick up sooner, perhaps 3 or 4 rings.

I get my message to voice mail not to my answering machine at home. why
your service provider might come with voice mail system, you need to log on to your provider website and disable the voice mail or you can setup your provider voice mail to 4, 6 sound and your Digital Cordless to 2 sound before the voice mail pick up and you will see the difference.

When I pick up the receiver to dial out, it beeps and beeps for about 6 times before I can dial
each beep means a new voice mail...so 6 beeps should indicate that you have 6 new voice messages :D just dial your voice mail and check them and it will stop!!!!! :D

Voicemail picks up too soon and New voice mail message always on
Check call waiting feature with mobile provider on number of rings to voice mail. Many problems repaired with booting phone (holding on/off button down till screen logo comes on & removing charged battery cleaning contact connections on phone and battery with DRY SYnthetic NOT cotton cloth ideally clean battery with alcohol swab let dry before returning to phone
