Question about AT&T Blackberry Curve 8300 Smartphone
I am having a problem hearing anything on the curve. If I dial out I cannot hear the ringtone or the person on the other end, but they can hear me.
Your speaker could be going out. When making a call press the $ button to activate the speaker. See if that function works.
Adjust the volume with the volume control on the right side of the as needed.

So, the reason the battery removal didn't fully work the first time is because it automatically reconnected to my bluetooth, which I didn't have connected before I turned it off, so I didn't think about it. Once I disconnected it, everything is fine. Thanks!

I've been having same problem, and its becoming more frequent, have to take battery out of phone, wait about 30 seconds and reinstall battery then reboot phone. This corrects problem, but when your driving down the highway and this happens, it can become quite a nuisance.......
