My garmin 305 will not switch on

Your device may have temporarily locked up due to the lack of being charged. In order to "wake up" the unit, please follow these steps:
  1. Connect the unit to the available power source (USB/110V.
  2. Press reset and mode for 3 seconds and then release. Once you have done this please attempt to power the device on.
  3. Allow the unit to charge briefly (15 to 30 minutes), and it should then be ready for use.
In addition, please make sure that the device has the latest software version available. To update the software, please use the following link: http://www.garmin.com/products/webupdater/

But you may have a bad or going bad battery. See if this helps:
If the device does not power on it could be a result of a extremely low battery. Please ensure that the device is receiving a charge while it is connected to the vehicle power cable. If the battery is receiving power from the vehicle power cable then the battery icon (located next to the time) would disappear from the Main Menu. clip_image001.jpg clip_image002.jpg
If the unit does not power on while attached to the vehicle power cable please follow steps from below to perform a soft reset:
  1. Connect the device to an external power source1
  2. Slide and hold the power key to the on position for 15 seconds
The device should power on. Notes:
  1. Preferably the vehicle power cable or a USB cable from a computer
  2. Some of the older Nuvi 200 series will have a reset button on the bottom of the device. It can be found on the bottom of the device on the same sticker that the serial number is printed on.

The Garmin nuvi 700 series has a bug with the operating system.

You need to try this:

How do I turn my nuvi 7xx off or on if it appears frozen or won't power on?

To power the device off with the soft reset:
  1. Slide the power key to the left
  2. Hold it in that position for about 10-15 seconds
The device should power off.
In some case the device may even be appear to be dead and it won't power on from external power. This can be correct by performing the soft reset with it connect to a power source.
To power the device on with the soft reset:
  1. Connect device to a power source (preferably a computer with the USB cable)
  2. Slide the power key to the left
  3. Hold it in that position for about 10-15 seconds
The device should power on.
If the device does power off please update the system software. In order to update the software you would need to download the program called WebUpdater. This can be downloaded from the Garmin website.
To download the program
  1. Please click on the following link: http://www8.garmin.com/products/webupdater/howtoinstall.jsp

When I turn sony kdl32m4000 on, green power light comes on but

I understand that your TV is turning ON but you're not bale to view the videos on the TV screen. If the TV is connected to a wall outlet through a Surge protector please disconnect the connection through the Surge protector and try connecting the TV to a working wall outlet and check if that helps. Please check the connection between the TV and the connected device. Please try using a different device and check if that helps. This is to check whether the issue is with the TV or the connected device. Please try to explain the issue as much as you can next time. What are the video sources connected to the TV? Does this issue occur with the TV when connected to other devices? How did you connect the videos sources to the TV? Which connection are you using to connect the devices to the TV? You TV doesn't support 1080p resolution, so please check whether the connected device is giving output in 1080p resolution. If the issue still persists service of the TV is recommended.
