Question about Yahoo Messenger

Unable to connect

It starts to try to connect, then I get an error message that it was not able to connect and that Windows is looking for a solution to the problem. No solution given. I am running Vista. Thanks

    Yes I was connected. I have re-installed it already. and Yes, i restarted the computer. Got any other ideas? A friend said I needed to "clean" my computer. Could that be it?

Hi,
Are you connected to the internet when you log-in to your YM? If yes, maybe you could download YM and re-install it. The installation may have not been completed.. Also, you may need to restart  your computer after the reinstallation.

Error code 810003c1


Error connection with Windows Live Messenger

After failing to connect to Windows Live Messenger, Below error message appears on your screen :

"The connection to Windows Live Messenger failed - The service is unavailable - Please retry later - Error Code 810003c1"

This problem is usually related to registration information for Messenger account, specifically the country of assignment.

It is probable that the connection established for an account, but may not work with another account.
How to proceed
Exit to Windows Live Messenger

Go to Windows Live Hotmail website.

Go to Identifying Windows Live ID and Password.

Click on Windows Live and select “Account”

In the page “Account Summary”, click on ("Edit your registered information").

Under Home, select your country of residence.

Then save the modification by clicking on “Register” and close Hotmail.

You can now try to connect to Windows Live Messenger.

What I would do is go to control panel and click on the firewall and see if it is stopping you. If that does not work I would contact the Live IT sipport and see if it is on their end. Thank you for using Fixya

Try submitting that error code at Microsoft.com(assuming u have Windows) or look in the help section relating to Yahoo Messenger .

First re-install your Camera Device Drivers.....then connect it and open Msn look in the Options menu if you have it connected right after that it should work

Unable to install yahoo msn


Check your internet connection, may be your connection encountered problems...always download from your trustful sources website. i think better you should check your firewall settings. If you use Personal Firewall, make sure it allows your connection to receiving incoming connections and allows you download yahoo messenger,check it out, may be it blocked your yahoo messenger set up from downloading it.

Windows Live messenger Error : 80048820


If you are receiving error 80048820 when trying to sign into Windows Live Messenger you should also get an extended error code. If this extended error code is 80048412 the problem often occurs because the time and date settings on the computer are incorrect. The error will appear like below:

You cannot sign in to Messenger. Additionally, you may receive the following error message:
We were unable to sign you in to the Messenger at this time. Please try again later.
To let us try and troubleshoot the problem, click the Troubleshoot button.

Extended error code: 80048412
