SOURCE: installing carbon brushes on Bosch WFK 2401

Remove rear panel of washer.
Remove drive belt.
Unscrew the 2 bolts that hold motor to tub back.
Remove motor plug
Lever notor back with a screwdriver or similar, keeping a firm hold on motor.and remove motor
At the rear end of motor away from pulley you will see the brushes and the armature.
Remove brushes, and if there is less than 4 or 5mm of carbon left, then replace them.
Lightly clean the armature with emery cloth.
Refit in reverse order. Test.
Plz rate my solution.

SOURCE: need to replace carbon brushes on Indesit Omega 1200

The brushes are located inside the motor. Remove rear panel of washer, remove drive belt, from motor and drum, unplug the motor, undo screws that secure motor, and remove motor.
At the opposite end to the motor pulley, you will find the brushes located, undo 2 screws that secure the brushes, remove and replace brushes.
I would also check the pump filter, which should be located behind a removable panel at bottom of washer, unscrew anti-clockwise, remove and clean.
Please rate my fixya solution.

I need new brushes for a Bostitch CAP2000 air compressor. Anyone know where to find them?

The brushes for the type of motor in your compressor are not sold seperately as a part. If all you need is the brushes to get it going again your best bet is to find a power tool service center or someone that works on electric motors to see if they have something close that will work or can be adapted to work in your motor.

The part #A640050 works on models CAP2040P-OF Type 0 and CAP60P-OF Type 0. If you know what model you have I can look it up for you or you can look it up on

Stanley Tool Works (who owns Bostitch) just merged with Black and Decker (who owns DeWalt) so you can find all the Bostitch parts breakdowns at the same site now.

Im trying to find brushes for my electric motor in my husky air compressor mod# 417-270

I have not been able to find brushes for your type of compressor. I find a close match on ebay and shave/sand to size. Measure your brushes. Search ebay for "carbon brushes" looking for best price and size needed. Make sure that the armature is still good because the brushes will wear very fast if arm. is bad. Good luck

On a Bostitch CAP60P-OF air compressor I can get 120 PSI easily but get little or no air pressure on the the hose side. Can't even run a stapler.

i also own a bostitch and it works great, the pressure regulator knob on mine is red not sure if yours is the same color but just turn this knob until you get the nail depth that you need , it should be near the pressure gauge, a quarter turn of this knob at a time is recommended until you get the pressure you need, i think you turn it in the loosen direction to get more pressure

HI; How do i change the brushes in an electric

Motors with carbon brush can be detected due to the two brush access at two opposite sides. Open this up,
and you can already change the carbon brush.
However, if your motor doesn't brush access, the probability is your motor is a capacitor motor. Replacing
the capacitors will restore your motor proper speed.

The motor should have a reset button. Push the reset and give it a try. If it trips right away or blows the breaker, it's probably a motor problem. If it hums, shut it right off - it could be either a motor problem or a locked up pump.

I suspect the motor, but it will take some looking into.
