Question about Kodak EasyShare C433 Digital Camera
I cant get the camera to do anything..the message "camera is in connect mode" displays and I cant get it out of there. I took out the batteries and put in new ones. I got a new memory card. Nothing makes it go away. I cant find out anything about it from Kodak and I'm about to have to buy a new camera unless I can figure it out..Please help!! Debbie Z
You may have to connect to a computer then disconnect it from the computer safely(click on safe removal icon in the tray)?

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ...
Here's some things that you can do to try to correct it. They only seem to work for less than 50% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty, they're worth a try:

Make sure batteries are NEW! Even half-way dead batteries will have negative actions on camera. Also if you have a memory card, try removing it and see if your camera act normal now. Some memory cards have different impact on digital cameras.
Kodak will fix any camera for $40.
