You have a shorted main circuit board, the TV is shorted and that is why it shuts off, it is a fire safety issue. Unplug the TV and call a service that checks these out. I will warn you that the average cost to repair this type of problem is about $500.00, so a new TV might be a better choice.

Look at the power supply, see it you can actually see any damaged components first, check the main AC fuse, burnt parts, etc.
