Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: kenwood cd player DP-M6010

After retrieving the cds from the unit I replaced it with my iPod. It seemed to me to be the most cost effect method to solve the problem.

It's got jammed - so open her up to try and free it , but be careful -do not force it - only gentle persuasion will help. Then give it a good clean with a 'safe' solvent.

6 or 7 phillips head screws. 2 or 3 across the back and two on each side. Slide the top towards the back then up. You will be able to get to all CD's with the top off. Hope this helps

More triage first.

Which unit cuts off? Signal Cables won't make either do that. Either will run just fine even without them.

CD players die.

Speaker issues or shorts will pose problems for the amp.

Do you have the manuals? If not, seek them.

I want tohook up a Kenwood KA-88 Amp. to a KT-58 Tuner to a DP-M5540 disc player and KA-68W Cassette deck. how do I do it?

Find the manuals or go by the basic INs to OUTs rule. REC = OUT, Play = IN. "Tuner" and "Aux/CD" are not literal. They're for anything BUT a turntable. But remember ONLY a turntable would ever use "PHONO".

This picture shows the rear of the KA-88

Kenwood single cd player dp-2030. I insert cd, it reads fine responds but I get no sound. In the back of unit speakers are plugged into line output.

Speakers don't generally run off Line Out. What kind of speakers? You probably need an amp for the speakers. Unlike wiring is usually a clue to incompatibility.
