Question about Panasonic Televison & Video
Every time one clicks the input button, an OSD shows up allowing one to choose input. How can I disable this feature and just press input to go to the next available input?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Volume and menu does not display
I had this problem on my Aquos (LC-46D62U). It was NOT a hardware problem. I recommend turning off the television. Next unplug the television for 5 to 10 seconds. This resets something for the television. Plug it back in and turn on the television. You should now be able to get your volume and other on-screen displays.

This is a difficult question to answer completely. 7 blinks indicates that one of the C boads has failed. however, there are several an SC,SD, SS and SU.
The procedure is to disconnect each of there boards until the blinking is eliminated. The labor charge is usually around 200.00 and the cost of whichever board is bad. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Osd time out?
OSD= On Screen Display. That feature keeps the information such as channel, time, ect.. for a length of time that you choose in the menu on the screen. Some sets let you change the color of it and also the background.

You know how to reset the tv to its factory setting, I think you are a technician. Second thing you can do is software update. Go to http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=KDL42V4100&LOC=3#div_pos_30 . If it doesn’t work. Replace the Main board (UB board). Part # A-1547-086-A Cost approx $320.
