Try flushing or blowing high pressure air through the heater core lines. its sludge build up and need to be flushed through heater core only. check antifreeze fluid level.

SOURCE: Blowing cold air ,no heat

Not exactly certain, but sounds like you have a broken "blend door" or acuator malfunction

SOURCE: blowing cold air via the heater

Assuming that none of the Electrical/Electronic controls were disturbed when changing the Thermostat it seems to me that you have an "Air Lock" within the heater. One must purge all the air out of the cooling system as close to the highest point as possible after the system has been partially or fully drained. Most of the time one will find small BRASS Bleeder Valves located somewhere near the highest point. Open each one while the system is pressurized and let Air escape until some Coolant escapes. Sometimes it may be necessary to loosen a Heater Hose and bleed the air at that point. Remember that the system MUST BE PRESSURIZED to accomplish the Bleeding of Air. Many auto parts stores sell hand pumps with a pressure gauge for this purpose and leak testing. These pumps typically replace the Radiator Pressure Cap temporarily. The system does not have to be at normal operating temperature to bleed the air out. Once the Air has been bled you will have to refill the radiator to normal full and make sure that the Coolant Recovery Tank level is also brought up to recommended level. A quick check is to remove the Radiator Pressure Cap, Start the Engine, Rev the engine suddenly (A short Jab) and see if the coolant level falls rapidly in the radiator. If it does it is definitely an AIR LOCK situation.

Fastest Robe

Testimonial: "Thank you, I'll do the quick jab test to determine the air lock and proceed with bleeding"

SOURCE: 1997 buick lesabre HEATER PROBLEMS The fan

This could be several things. First I would check that the thermostat is not stuck open. This will condition will make the car run cold when it is cold outside.

If this is not the case........and I'm assuming you've already checked that the antifreeze is full, make sure that the heater valve is working. If it is frozen in place then it won't move and won't allow the warm water to circulate through the heater core.

I'm basing my answers on a standard Lesabre. Yours may not have the standard climate control.

2000 caddy Seville ...after starting and engine warm turn on the heater and it blows cold air. Fan works / waiting for hot air and then all the sudden it kicks in. Engine at normal temp

Low coolant, if there is an air pocket in the engine it will make it to the heater core. Once there , the air coming out is cold/cool. Once the coolant fills the heater core, it gets hot. If the coolant is fine hot or cold, then have the HVAC system scanned.

Why does a/c only blow whil vehicle is in motion?

you have a problem with the heater/a/c controls there obviouly stuck on a/c you will need to strip out the control panel to see why the direction/vent , hot/cold , fan speed controls are not working , before doing this have you checked the fuses as there may be a seperate fuse for the control panel ,if this all checks out take to an a/c specialist as you dont want to mess around with a/c gasses etc

No heat blowing cold air.

Do you smell coolant inside of the vehicle. If so then chances are your heater core is going.

The heater stop working a couple days after i added a radiator cleaner and the heater stop blowing warm air today, is there a fues to replace or did the heater valve get clogged

If the fan wont blow air at all then it is a fuse. If the fan works and the car is warm you have a clog somewhere. you could try pulling a heater hose off when the car is cold to check for flow.

Hi my heater has completely stopped working how ddo I fix it

BY COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING I ASSUME THERE IS NO AIR FAN BLOWING OR THERE IS NO WARM AIR COMING OUT OF THE VENTS? IF THIS IS SO, FIND THE FUSE THAT CONTROLS THE HEATING SYSTEM AND SEE IF IT IS BLOWN, IS SO REPLACE IT. IF IT WORKS BUT BLOWS ANOTHER FUSE YOU HAVE A SHORT. BEST LEFT TO AN EXPERT. OTHER THEN THAT THERE IS NOT MUCH MORE THAT CAN GO WRONG WITH HEATERS, THERE IS HOWEVER AN OUTSIDE POSSIBILITY YOUR TSTAT IS STUCK CLOSED OR YOUR ENGINE FAN IS NOT WORKING IF IT IS ELECTRIC, OR YOUR FAN CONTROL MODULE IS ON THE WAY OUT.
