Question about Altec Lansing FX6021 Computer Speakers
What are the specs for capacitor C125? I have contacted several service places and Altec Lansing Customer Service, but no-one has a schematic or diagram for the FX6021 computer speakers. If anyone is willing, could you please remove the back control panel from the sub, and tell me what the specifications are on the capacitor labeled C125? It will be something like X.XµF 50V. Thank you!
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best bet would be to just strip the wire with a wire stripper or utility knife and twist the bare ends together to fix the connection. A little electrical tape around those wires and you should be almost good as new. Of course you might notice some difference in quality but I'm pretty sure the only way round that would be replacing the cable.
Try it out and let me know how it works out for you. If you know how to solder it might be a good idea to solder the connection as well.

SOURCE: Altec Lansing ada745 fuse
It is written on the sub. You can also take it out or look at the spare which is taped to the power cord wall plug. I believe it's T1A 250V fuse

I did the same! Thanks for suggesting a call to Customer Support (800)258+3288. The guy didn't seem overly pleased to help, but he did promise to send me a new power supply. Also, he said that they don't make the iM7 anymore, but I had already found out that the iM9 uses the same power supply. I, too, will wait and see.

i'm guessing you have an audio output problem.
you might not have installed the sound card driver or your sound card is not functioning.
this speakers does not come with drivers... just plug in to speaker output which is the green one. turn the speaker on and walah!

Your adapter is Part No. AVX300-A6859, Model No. 9701-00748-IUND.
Or You could get a universal that is rated for output of 18volt DC, 650ma, Center Positive.
I have used a 15volt DC, 900 ma with no problem, but I never run the volume high.
