Question about Acer Aspire One D255E13438 Netbook
An ONN retractable mouse had stopped working, so after I was UTL drivers for it, I bought an HP, which worked a bit longer than the previous one. When it became intermittent, I downloaded software from HP so that it would work. It does not light up or work at all, but a normal mouse does. It consistently has said that for both "USB device not recognized". The regular mouse from the PC both works and shows up as a device on the Devices and Printers page. The others did not, although I didn't check it while they were working. There is no problem with the USB ports at all. I would like to be be to use a retractable mouse, especially while traveling, not the touch pad. How can I fix this?

restart your computer repeatedly tapping the f8 key to enter safe mode while the screen is black once in safe mode where the only things working will be your keyboard and mouse allowing you to attempt to repair your computer then if your mouse works
click start right click on my computer select properties device manager control scroll to mice and pointing devices you might see a yellow question/exclamation mark? ! or a red X right update driver
