Take the inside tower off. it should twist off and up. then tighten the bolts in the bottom.

My Peugeot 206cc boot lock is jammed and I can't open the boot

To open the boot from the inside is very simple: Pull down the back seat. You will see a dull metal hook on top in the small space between the lock on the boot and the plastic cover of the boot. Push upwards and the door will open. The panel covering the back door is held in with clips and can be easily removed by pulling away from the wipr first and pulling the rest away clip by clip: You will not break anything no matter how hard you pull. To put the panel back on just push the clips back in to place.

Hi,

I'm Ben and -- hopefully -- I can provide some meaningful assistance.

1. Locate the outer clamp band securing the seal to the shell of the machine and examine it carefully. Many can be carefully pried off with a flat-bladed screwdriver, but some have a tensioning arrangement that has to be loosened.
2. After removing the outer clamp band, locate the inner one securing the seal to the drum and establish how this is secured. It may be necessary to loosen a clip, or you may be able to prise the band off with a flat-bladed screwdriver.
3. Once the clamp bands have been removed, use both hands to pull the seal away from the locating lips on the shell and drum.

4. Rubbing a smear of fabric conditioner into the groove that locates on the drum makes fitting the new seal easier.

Replace clutch and shaft on model no 325L brush cutter

There are two versions of this, on the early system the shaft threads into the drum, on the later machine the shaft has a square and just pushes into the drum, to acess the drum on both systems, you need to remove the top cover, diss connect the throttle cable from the carb, un hook the coil wires from the top of the end cover, take out the two mushroom headed screws in the grey throttle handle with a 4mm allen key,do not lost the o rings underneath, slacken the two 4mm headed allen screws from the tube clamp, you can acess these through the pre cut holes in the throttle handle, now twist and pull the tube out of the clamp and through the throttle handle, if the shaft is squared it will also pull away, take out the three 4mm allen screws securing the tube clamping cover and pull away, if the shaft was squared and pulled out, then the drum is held into the bearing with an external circlip, if the shaft is threaded onto the drum then you need to clamp the shaft in a vice with soft jaws and turn the drum to undo it right hand thread.
Good Luck

Leaking door seal

The door seal on a front loader is usually part of the boot that seals the drum from the front panel of the machine. It is held on over lips on the door and outer drum. Pull the seal away from the front panel and it should reveal the lip, now pull the seal off the lip working around the whole area. Push the seal into the drum and work it off that lip too. Replacement is the opposite of the removal and just requires a little patience. (Take you old seal with when purchasing a new one to make sure you get the right part).

Hi looks my Maytag Neptune needs to have the front boot replaced

It is not too difficult to replace the boot. You have to remove the door (remove the screws that go into the door frame, not the door itself, and tilt the door out). Remove the screws on the opposite side of the door frame and remove the front panel (this will hinge on the bottom). From there, remove the soap dispenser bezel (4 phillips screws) and the two brackets (5/16" nutdriver) that are located in the front, just under the top. Now the top will tilt up. The boot will be pressed into the white plastic boot bezel (tongue and groove style) this needs to be pulled away from the bezel at this point. Now, remove the (4) 5/16" screws that hold the boot bezel in place and put aside. There is a wire ring with a spring that holds the boot to the drum, carefully roll the ring off the boot, it may snap on you so be careful. Pull old boot off and replace with new. Make sure to align the new boot with the indicators on the drum. *****NOTE!!! A bad boot is often an indicator of other part failures, most common of these are the shocks/struts that are under the drum assembly. If these are bad, your new boot will go bad quickly.*******

Ariston Washing Machine Model AF 883 T

this is general instruction for door boots - allo much the same
undo clamp that holds boot to cabinet and peel away clear of the cabinet.
take worktop off.
locate clamp that holds boot to tub. undo clamp (usually like a giant wire jubillee clip) and boot can be pulled off tub.
lubricate slot in boot that goes onto tub with washing up fluid
starting at top, push slot in boot onto lip of tub. working in both directions, continue forcing slot onto lip. this is a knack and it may take a few attempts.
when full fitted, refit clamp and tighten
refit door boot to cabinet (this is easy) and refit outer clamp.
test for leaks on rinse cycle as water level is higher. water will be foamy from washing up fluid till washed away.

turn of at mains while doing this job

hiya
firstly you will need to unplug the machine, then remove the lid, open the door and remove the metal retaining band from around the lip of the door seal (may need a small flat screwdriver to lift it up).
once the retainer is off the door seal should pull away from the front lip, this can then be folded inside the machine and out of the way for the next bit.
next you will need to locate the doorseal retainer on the inside of the machine may need a 7mm socket and small ratchet or a small philips screwdriver for this one, this one only needs to be loosened enough so that the doorseal will pull away from the drum.

refitting is pretty much the reverse of removal.

you MUST make sure the seal is on the drum lip corrrectly before refitting the retaining band or it will leak.

you MUST also make sure the drain holes are lined up with the ones on the drum.

hope this helps
