Is the the only time the right click does not work or is it on everything? Have you tryed an external mouse? My suspision is the right click is worn out, rather than not set up correctly.

My nec multisync FE991SB monitor screen is turned upside down

Option One:
Try using the keyboard combination, "Control + Alt + Up Arrow Key". Control + Alt along with one of the arrow keys is a fairly common rotation hot-key configuration and may just do the trick.

Option Two:
See if there is a graphics card icon displayed in the Notification Area (near the Windows Clock). Clicking (or right-clicking) the icon may reveal a "Rotation Settings" option that will allow you to revert to "normal" display.

Option Three:
If neither of the previous options help, try the following procedure.
  1. Right-click an open area of the desktop and click "Properties" to open the "Display Properties" window.

  2. Click the "Settings" tab and then click the "Advanced" button to open the monitor settings window.

  3. Click the tab corresponding to your graphics card. You may need to click one or more buttons within the tab to reveal a rotation settings option. Exactly where rotation settings are located will depend on the brand of graphics card installed.

  4. Once you locate the rotation settings, choose the "0 degrees" or "normal" option to change the display to upright. The rotations settings may also give you the option of disabling rotation hot keys so that the problem does not happen again.

  5. Click "OK" to save changes and exit out of any open properties windows.

HP (Altec Lansing) monitor is displaying sideways, my friend lent me her laptop

Some graphics cards have rotation "hot keys" enabled by default and this is probably the most common cause of this problem. The exact procedure for rectifying the display may depend on the particular brand and configuration of the graphics card in the problem computer. One of the following options may help resolve the issue.

Option One:
Try using the keyboard combination, "Control + Alt + Up Arrow Key". Control + Alt along with one of the arrow keys is a fairly common rotation hot-key configuration and may just do the trick.

Option Two:
If Option One doesn't work, see if there is a graphics card icon displayed in the Notification Area (near the Windows Clock).

  5. Click "OK" to save changes and exit out of any open properties windows

I have acer aspire 5000, unable to connect lcd projector

The projector is automatically detected by laptop and then included in the secondary graphics or display as a second display component. This means that for the projector to display, you need to control it from the laptop's graphics options, i.e.
>Connect projector to laptop
> Right click on desktop and choose Graphic options.
> Choose desired option say Notebook + Display or Display alone..whichever you prefer.
It should be displaying now. Did it? Vote to let me know.

Boots halfway then it stops.

That is a sign of Hard Disk Failure or bad clusters due to inproper formating

Perform this tests to ascertain your Hard disk durability
1. Turn Off the computer
2. Restart it, Press F2 to go to the BIOS at the black screen when the PC comes up displaying the manufacturers name:
3. Goto the Advanced Menu or the Menu Option that displays your Drives.
4. On the drive that has the problem, select the option that performs a hard disk test.

This would take sometime and at the end, the result of the test would tell if your Hard disk is bad.

A second option is to use a reliable hard disk partition software like partition magic to reformat and repair bad clusters and damaged sectors in your harddisk

Click here to download it and use it if the first option fails:

Some how my screen has gone from long ways to displaying sideways

Try clicking the right mouse button on the desktop away from all windows directly on your wallpaper, and select properties from the menu. In the display settings dialog find and select the settings tab. Depending on you graphics card you may find the advanced settings button or a similar option. Within the advanced settings you can find an option to rotate display.
