Question about ASUS P4P800-X Pentium Motherboard

1 Answer

CPU Not Functioning

Was using my computer. Suddenly the monitor says I need to check the signal cable.

I make sure it's fastened.

Still no image.

Looks like the CD/DVD ROM have no power (or at least aren't responding). On boot up no Windows music and other start up sounds come over the speaker. On our network connection the computer is listed as unavailable.

Sounds like your motherboard died. All the syndromes listed are related to tasks preformed by the motherboard.
Unfortunately you can't fix a dead motherboard.
You can buy a new one fairly cheap, either the exact same motherboard, or one that has all the exact same features.
look at or they always have good deals

Why am I not getting no signal between computer and monitor. Computer is emachine W3118

According to

Your machine may support more than one monitor and have more than one monitor port. Change the cable connecting the computer and monitor to a different monitor port as the computer may not yet be configured for the port you have plugged the monitor in to.

I'm currently installing my new SyncMaster 2280HD Monitor to be used for now just as a monitor. When I turned on the computer onscreen all I get are two floating boxes that say AV in the upper left...

It sounds like there is a connection issue between the computer and monitor. Make sure the cable connecting the computer and monitor is securely fastened on both ends. If you verify that it is and the problem persists, try using a different cable.

I just bought my 875WP1-E and hooked the monitor up to the onboard video port and when I power up the computer the monitor just says "no signal." What's up?

This is due to your system is not switched ON or not properly configured. Follow the below steps will resolve your problem.

1st Step: Have you hear any beep sounds? If yes insert the memory modules properly.
2nd Step: check whether the keyboard lights are flashing while switch on the system. if no, check the SMPS or SMPS connections.

System not display

1.Off the main swith and Ups.

2.Gently jack the All cables used in your computer like
Main cables of Monitor,
Main cable of CPU,
Vga Cable in CPU (That is giving the video signal to Monitor),
Cables attached with UPS,
3.Now Turn On the Cpu

Cheak the CPU Green/Red Light is Lighting.(If not SMPS may be Problem.Cheak the SMPS)

If Light is Lighting ok,then Problem with Your Ram.

OFF the system.

4.Open the chasis(System box),then unplug the Ram then Plug it again properly.

5.On the System,if the problem is not solved, then try again to fit the ram properly(Atleast 4 times).

6.Even not your system on,Then Buy a New Ram and Fit it Gently.

The ATX power supply on my computer went out, so I replaced it with a new one. I connected all the usb and cables in the back, plugged in the power cord and turned on the switch and the mother board powers...

Try refreshing all connections to the motherboard. Also clean the RAM as shown in the image below.cfaa97e.jpg
Resetting the CMOS may also help you in the process. Make sure that the power cable connected to the power supply is disconnected. Change the jumper settings of JCMOS1 (labled 1) from 1-2 to 2-3 for approximately 10secs. (refer to the image below).
Then return to original settings (1-2). Hope this helps.
