Hi, I have the same model PVR which stopped working in the same way, in answer to your question, yes there is an internal safety fuse located inside the case under the switch mode power supply cover, WARNING this cover protects against electrical shock, Ie there are full mains supply voltages under the cover so make sure that the power cable is completely disconnected before you remove the safety cover. if the fuse has blown make sure that you replace it with a quick blow compatible type.
Thi did not help in my case because a component had failed in the power supply board so I am still looking for a service manual, anyone know where I can buy one.

Hi I have a argos brought bush led tv that is only a year old and very rarely used but now for some reason it will not turn on at all I've changed fuse etc but nothing I'd say the tv has only dine abo

When you say not turning on is it completely dead, or has it gone into stand by mode, needing the remote to fire it up. Might sound patronising but are you sure both fuses are good?? Might have been in a spare room and got damp on the circuit boards and blown a internal fuse.

My radio is dead after a battery change, could it be the fuse and i cant tell the smbol on the fuse card if it is

I have exactly the same problem. Just changed battery today on 2002 VW Golf TDI, and the radio is completely dead. Checked the fuse - looks fine. (Fuse 42 incidentally. Fuses are on the side of the driver's dash facing the door ie. only accessible once the door is open). Anyone know why the radio has completely died?

Suddenly power goes off. will not restart,

If there is no external fuse at the back panel, then there must be an internal fuse. I assume you tried another outlet in your home.

Monitor just went off. no power light. changed fuse but monitor is completely dead

possibly a power surge killed the main board in the LCD. if the fuse was blown i would suspect a power surge. you could replace the circuit board. either that died or the power supply died- depending on if it has internal or external power supply that might be blown as well.

i would take it to a professional LCD/ LAPTOP repair person. they should be-able to test it and let you know what needs to be replaced

Panasonic dvd video recorder dmr-e85h is dead

I had same problem. I replaced two bad capacitors on the power supply card. See http://vassfamily.net/projects/DMRE85H/dmre85h.html The capacitors I replaced were C1260 and C1261 slightly different from the one on "vassfamily.net". Everything works now for me...

Good luck.

Also for those interested, I found the "commands" listed on http://www.dxcc.com/dmr-e85h.htm useful when operating the DMR-e85h to correct problems.

DMR-E85h now completely dead

The STRG6353 is a chunky integrated circuit used in the switch mode power supply (SMPS) circuit.
It is a " QUASI-RESONANT FLYBACK SWITCHING REGULATOR" used for the high frequency 300VDC switching.

CS- 40503 No Power

There is no external reset, and if the set is completely dead (not even a click when the power button is pressed) then there is probably an open main fuse or defective stand-by power supply. If the main fuse is blown then there is usually a heavy short in the main power supply, and either way the set should be looked at by someone with experience in Mitsubishi sets.
