Question about Frigidaire Electric Dryer

FRIGIDARE DRYER MODEL #LEQ2152EE0

Recently had to change the drum bearing and completed that with no problem but once it was fixed we could not get the dryer to heat. I have checked all of the fuses and the house wiring but all seem to be ok. Is there any way to check the control board to make sure it is working properly.

SOURCE: Frigidare Dryer Model Number leq1442es0

they are refering to the fuses in the breaker box of the house not the dryer, verify that you have 240 volts at the terninal block on the back of the dryer, you must have it there it is ac voltage.

if you do then you may have a heater, a thermastat, a safety limit a motor a timer a heating selector issue too many coulds to tell you right now need to be more specific if you have the proper voltage

Either your drum bearing or drum felt kit is worn out. It is always better to put drum bearing along with new drum felt kit.

The bearing has gone out in my front load washer. How do you remove the old bearing?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjULf1lLW5U&feature=channel Its easier to post a link than to try to go into detail. If the link does not post than go to youtube and do a search for washing machine bearing replacement. You can match up the bearings once you get it apart. I know Frigidare wants to sell the complete drum and does not list the bearings and seal.
Good luck

Final spinning cycle makes very loud noise.

sounds like you have the dreaded bad tub bearings. Does it sound like an aircraft taking off? Open the door and lift the drum and see if you feel any play.
I don't know your technical ability, but you can match up bearings and a seal and repair it ( frigidare will only sell you the complete drum with bearings) but its a big job as appliance work goes. You will have to decide how to proceed from there as far as fixing it or buying a new one.

Clothes get hung or catch in the dryer and buttons get torn off or the clothes sometimes get scorched. I have a 2 year old Frigidaire front loader. Model # LEQ2152EE0. Any advice -- other than buy a new...

I believe your problem is worn out drum glides. You should examine the drum to see if the paint is not worn off where the glides make contact. A loss of coating there will accelerate wear on the new replacement glides. Also the bearing at the rear of the drum should be inspected and replaced if worn, or re lubricated if serviceable. The bearing should be a simple ball and socket assembly.

KENMORE DRYER

Hello ENRIGHT11 Welcome to Fixya
My name is Huum,

You said,
DRYER MAKES VERY LOUD NOISE WHEN RUNNING. ALTHOUGH IT HEATS UP AND BEGINS TO DRY, IT STOPS RUNNING COMPLETELY AFTER ABOUT 5 MINUTES. IF YOU WAIT AN HOUR, YOU CAN START IT AGAIN, BUT IT AGAIN SOUNDS VERY LOUD (ALMOST A RATTLING SOUND) AND THEN SHUTS OFF AFTER 5 MINUTES

Faulty Blower Wheel

If you hear a great deal of noise coming from the blower area of the dryer when it is running, then the blower wheel could be defective.

The are many different designs for blower wheels and just as many unique failure modes. Vanes (fins) can break off the wheel and bounce around in the blower breaking more pieces. The blower can break around the coupler with the shaft. This can cause the blower to spin loosely on the shaft. The blower can form cracks which cause it to vibrate, etc.

You should also not be surprised to find foreign debris in the blower. The occasional bird, rodent or squirrel has been known to bypass the out vent cover. If they crawl into the exhaust tube the first thing they come into contact with is the blower wheel.

If the blower wheel is not spinning, or if it is missing vanes, it is not moving air efficiently. As a result, heat is not removed from the heat source and it can trip the high limit switch or blow the thermal cut-off.
Worn Belt
A worn belt can stretch and/or become brittle with age. The belt can then slip on the drum or motor to cause squeaking. If this is the case, the solution is to replace the worn belt.

The belt is not the only item that can cause squeaking. It can also be caused by a faulty idler pulley, worn drum bearings, worn drum glides or worn drum rollers depending on brand and style.

When replacing the Belt is is a good idea to also change the Drum Support Rollers, Drum Glides, Idler Pulley and Clips. All of these items are economical easily changeable when replacing the belt. The upside is that your dryer will operate like new.

Recent Customer Symptoms:
Dryer makes loud noise when turned on. Dryer works and heats up OK but makes too much noise.
Worn Drum Glides
Some dryer models are equipped with Drum Glides. The front of the dryer rests on these glides. They provide a low friction surface on which the drum spins. After time however, this glides wear down. Much like an automobile brakes, these glides make a load grinding noise when they wear thin. This griding against the drum usually leaves a bare metal stripe that is visible at the point of contact. If the glides are worn, the solution is to replace them.

Worn Drum Support Rollers
Some dryers such as Whirlpool/Kenmore brands are equipped with Rear Drum Support Rollers. The weight of the dryer drum rests on these rollers. They provide a low friction surface on which the drum spins when in operation. After time however, these rollers wear down. When they wear, often times they begin to elongate and form a non-round 'cam' shape. The result is that when the dryer is turned on it creates a rumble that sounds as though you are trying to dry a pair of tennis shoes. This sound is usually the drum being forced up and down on the non-round wheels. If the rollers are worn, the solution is to replace them.

The drum on my front loading wash machine is very loose

I recently replaced my bearings and seal for about $60. I could have bought the bearing cheaper online but I was in a hurry. If you do a search online there are several blogs about replacing these bearings. Here is a link for a service manual for $ 18 http://www.repairclinic.com/SSPartDetail.aspx?PartID=659075&PPStack=1 You pretty much have to disassemble the washer but it is not really that difficult depending on your mechanical experience. The manual should lay it all out for you. There are 2 notes on these frigidare washers: Sometimes the spider arms on the inner drum break and you will have to buy the complete inner drum assembly. I have heard they are warranted for 25 years, but they most likely will not warranty them if the owner does the work. Also, Frigidare does not list the bearings seperately, but you can buy the bearings from a bearing supply house, online or in your town. The bearing numbers are on the side of the old bearings when you remove them.
NOTE- The bearings that came out of mine were 6306-2Z and 6307-2Z (shielded) I replaced mine with 6306-2RS and 6307-2RS (sealed). The significance is that the shielded bearings offer minimal protection from water where the sealed bearings are built to seal out water/contaminants if you new seal ever fails. The seal I used was a CR15939 rubber coated seal.
If you need any other information, let me know
Hope this helps
