The drive is not at all working

  • aareddy Nov 02, 2008

    yes the tray opens

  • keevan Nov 17, 2008

I have the same problem, but in Vista 32bit, on a WINfast 6100M2MA-RS2H.
Everything was working, then recently, it stopped seeing the drive.
Says driver is up to date, but fails to complete device install now.
Changed cable and tested with other DVD player, same issue.

On a seperate/related note, the VERY newest Nvida 6+ driver when installed just gives me a black sceen with a small white bars at the top, forcing me to roll back the driver, which seems to work ok.
      Thanks, Kevin

my system is not detecting DVDRAM

  • patlmail May 11, 2010

It might be a cable issue.
If you have any extra IDE cables try switching them out, and see if it works...

  • patlmail May 11, 2010

Does the tray open at all?

  • patlmail May 11, 2010

You shouldn't need a driver using windows XP.
Does the drive not work at all, or is it only when trying to play a dvd?

  • patlmail May 11, 2010

What operating system are you using?

I want intel DG41RQI motherboard drivers CD, how?

You can download this driver cd from Many Website. If it is in Image File It Will Be Better. First Download the Image File. And Save It. If you try to open that file. It will Open with Nero Software. Automatically Nero Dialog Box Will Appear. Then Change into the "Current Recorder" Box. Just Select
Drive H:TSSTCrop CDDVDW SH-S223C (DVD) or I:HL-DT-ST DVDRAM CGH22NS50 (DVD). Then Burn. automatically it will change Program File Or Setup File. Then U Can Use That Dvd To As Driver Cd. Ok. Just try It.

Dvd/cd drive isnt recognized

Turn off the laptop completely. There is one screw on the bottom holding it in place. Take out the screw and then take out the drive from the laptop. Put it back into place and make sure it reseats snug into the slot. Press F10 to get into the BIOS and see if its recognized in there, if it is then you know that it was the drive not getting seated properly. If its still not getting recognized then try another knowng good working drive in there.

Also make sure you reset the defaults in the BIOS. if the new drive isnt seen in there then it could be a bad controller on the motherboard and if the machine is under warranty, get the motherboard replaced.
