I am having issues with my RCA Scenium D52W135D (playstation 3 connection). Recently, I have been having a very specific problem with this combo. I have it connected using HDMI to a Pioneer receiver...

Had the same problem. With mine the other day you probably moved your Playstation 3 too another tv and set your 1080i,720,480 to high deaf on settings in Playstation. You have to change them back to automatic that TV says HDTV but it only plays Playstation 3 on 480 checked in settings of Playstation. Played mine for 4 years on that TV moved and got a 3d wifi then dad got him one And was going to trash that RCA but I told him I would take it for now too keep from buying another TV at this time got it in my new home wouldn't play video but it. would sound tried different cables but still now change. But remembered i changed all of my settings over when I got 3D TV. Playstation 3 hadn't been on know other TV. Since I owned it but that RCA now won't work then came to me last night and playing it on both TVs but you have to change the settings on it before moving it or you cant see the screen to fix it do that guarantee it will fix it. Like you said everything else works PS 1,PS 2,DVD, cable, but PS 3 won't its the settings in theme, and audio.

Sound and just a Static picture when playing a VCR tape on a Sharp 13vt-N100

More likely a damaged tape got inserted, if the video heads get blocked or even partly blocked every tape after will do this, heads can be cleaned manually (careful if not sure how to do it) or a cleaning tape MAY clear this up or not.

Sharp TV VCR combo sound and no picture

See my previous answer for this--most likely a blocked or bad video head in the unit (dirty or blocked is most common)

I have a 1994 zennith TV/VCR COMBO I am trying to connect a dvd player to. I have one yellow video cord and one double stranded audio red/white cord. I can not get a picture. Vcr player does still work.

Connect yellow from DVD to TV. Connect white and red cables from DVD to TV. Yellow to yellow, white to white etc. Then select on the TV using the remote, the proper input (where the DVD is connected) Press PLAY on the DVD player.

The sound won't work on my tv unless it is a dvd or vcr tape is playing or my video game system is playing. other than that I get no sound out of the tv at all

If you are using a cable box to recieve tv channels make sure that the sound is not muted on the box, usually you get a small icon indicating that the sound is muted. The other cause of the audio loss could be a problem in the sound processing circuit(IF circuit) you will need to take the set in for an estimation in that case, some troubleshooting will be required. If you are using a cable box one thing you can do is to run some dubbing cables from the a/v jacks in the located in the rear and connect them to one of the tv ext. inputs(like you are connecting your dvd, vcr) this should give you audio when viewing your tv channels. please leave good feedback if i answered your question satisfactorily.thanks

Trying to help this older lady with a emerson tv/vcr combo. She has no manual with set. Setting up to record same station everyday at same time. VCR will record but when playing back she only gets sound no...

The TV should be on channel 2, 3, or 4 to work correctly. There might be a small switch on the back of the VCR that lets you select the channel that it wil play back on.

Also, look on the remote control for the VCR and see if there is a button labeled TV/Video, and press that while something is playing. This switches back and forth between the TV signal and the VCR signal and it could solve your problem.

You have your DVD connected to your VCR, which is then connected to your TV, right? The problem is Macrovision. It's designed to prevent you from connecting your DVD player to your VCR, so that you can't make duplicates of copyrighted movies. It's a real pain in the neck. Try turning the DVD player off - or better yet, unplugging its power cord (as some DVD players are always in a standby mode, even when turned off). If that fixes the problem, then you need to reconnect your DVD player directly to the TV, not wired through the VCR. If your DVD player isn't wired through the VCR, are you using some kind of wire splitter (one cable branches into two) to connect both the DVD player and VCR? That can also cause this kind of interference, if both have power at the same time. There are video switches you can get to work around that. Here's one such switch (first I found for a decent price with a google search): Hope that helps.
