Hello liardet,

you could of course use the manufacturers supplied utility !

However, a lot of independent work has been done to produce a whole range of highly effective tools described on http://humaxdisk.wikispaces.com/

All recordings gone on my Humax 1100s.

This is a known problem on these models; contact with the disk is lost. If it is still in warranty, contact Humax. If not, replacing capacitors on the mainboard may fix it.

How are you changing from recorded to TV? If you are switching the TV input, it could be because it's looking first for analogue TV stations but there are none any more, so it then reverts to the SCART and shows the Humax satellite station. If you are just pressing STOP on the Humax then you shouldn't have a problem, but if you do have the problem then the Humax must be faulty.

My Humax PVR9200T has recently become very slow responding to remote commands. The proccessor seems to be unable to keep up with the commands. This is a general fault with the unit as 2 other family...

Yes. I have exactly the same with my PVR9200T. Humax are now putting out software updatess for their other boxes and have promised a fix for the 9200 soon. I contacted them a month ago, and at the time the update was due in 2 weeks but haven't seen anything yet. My guess, and it is a guess, is that the programme guide format has changed during the recent switchover and is screwing up their internal firmware hence the slow response etc..

Humax DRT800 DVR recorder has no sound

Loss of sound is often a problem with the SCART connections. The SCART may not be pushed in securely, or if the SCART is old the pins may not be good. Check SCART is securely in, or try another SCART lead.

Humax digital recorder picture freeze every 10 minutes

Humax are having problems and are starting to send out software upgrades (night-time updates) - seems to be related to the new formats on the MUXs for the digital switch-over. Our 9150T hasn't been fixed yet but due any day (I hope)

Humax Tivo will not record to DVD

After the update to 1.15 I had to delete EVERY recording on the unit. After that, any new recordings would burn just fine. However, some have found that same failure even after a hard reboot (repower). Called Humax level-1 support and they suggested a replacement unit so I swapped it out. But I've since learned that TiVo "pushes" a DVD firmware patch (possible supplied by Humax) from 1.08 to 1.15 and that patch is the culprit. That patch is suppose to make the DVD burn at a higher spin rate. After talking with level-2 Humax support they heard of the problem and said "the unit is working as designed", meaning, the DVD drive manufacturer specs say the drive is capable of a faster burn rate. So now I have Humax DTR800 #2 and so-far-so-good, but TiVo hasn't pushed the patch onto the box yet!
