Question about Epson Stylus Multifunction Inkjet Printer/ Copier/ Scanner
I have an Epson Stylus DX 7450. It worked until the first set of cartridges was empty. Since then, it wouldn't print whole pages, only 1/4 or 1/3 of the page is printed, then it starts with the next page.
After I changed the cartridges, it worked for one or two pages, then it was broken again. Now, when I try to change setting, it does sometimes work that one page is printed properly, but after that it swithes back to 1/3 pages again...
I use the printer on a MacBook with Jaguar, and on a Laptop with WinXP (the computer of my roommate), if that has anything to do with it.
I had another such printer before, and it had the same problem, so I sent it to Epson and had it replaced. But I cannot have my printers replaced every time the ink is empty...
It sounds like a driver issue. Have you checked that bothcomputers have the correct driver for your printer?

You have a wide format printer but it has the same basic principle as the desktops. You can buy remanufactured cartridges which were reset for you. Or you can refill them. If you refill them, you need a resetter because Epson cartridges have a chip on them which needs to be reset. Because when they are empty, the printer will recognize it as empty and will not function till you put in a new cartridge. If you bought a remanufactured cartridge, and your printer won't recognize it, you need to go back to who sold you the cartridge and either have them reset it or give you a replacement.

You must surely have sorted this one out by now Doris! However, if you haven't, how to change print cartridges on a
DX7450 is very clearly explained in the user handbook (on the CD that
came with your printer). Insert the CD and select "Custom Install" then "Users Guide". Once its installed, double click the new Epson Icon on your screen and selct "Printing" then "Replacing Ink Cartridges". If you don't have a CD, download the User's Guide from the Epson website at http://www.epson.com - just choose your locale, then select Get Drivers and Support - Printers.
