in playback mode, press menu and navigate left or right to the erase menu. Scroll down to delete frame for 1 image deleting, or to erase all to remove all images.

If your pics are safely stored somewhere and you want to erase all of them, just go into the menu and find "format" and follow the on-screen instructions.
