Question about YouTube Videos

1 Answer

High resolution does not work

My video runs beautifully on YouTube in normal resolution. However, when I click "View in high resolution" right below the video window nothing happens. The same when I add "&fmt=6" last in the URL (this has worked before). My video is uploaded as a 45 Mb video in the wmv format.

How to connect hdmi to composite

Normally you cannot connect hdmi signal to a composite input as the signals are totally different. HDMI is a digital signal and composite is analog. You may have to buy an adapter like the one shown below but the video quality will suffer. HDMI is very high resolution image and composite video is very low quality in comparison.

Youtube Trick I

You may notice just under the lower right coner of the video window, some videos have an option to “Watch In High Quality”. By default, these videos will play as a 320×240 FLV file
at 320Kb/s. Check out this sample:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyyjgYcS8Fs

The user could click on this link to “Watch in High Quality” which will reload the video and play the MP4 version , which is 480×360 at 512Kb/s. By adding &fmt=18 to the end of the URL, you’ll make the URL you share with others bring them right to the high quality version. Here’s the same video in the High Quality view:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyyjgYcS8Fs&fmt=18

What else are you gaining besides increased video resolution? The video is compressed with H.264 compression, so you get better video even at the same data rate. You also go from a low fidelity mono audio feed to stereo @ 44.1Khz sample rate.

&fmt=6 increases the resolution from 320×240 to 448×336, Flash 7 video @ 900Kbps; audio @ 44.1KHz 96Kbps Mono CBR.

&fmt=18 increases the resolution to 480×360, H.264 video @ 512Kbps; audio @ 44.1KHz 128Kbps Stereo. Note, the bandwidth may be lower, but it’s utilizing a more efficient compression codec .

&fmt=22 increaes the resolution to 720p HD video if the source was uploaded at a high enough resolution.

Hello there.
It seems like your video card doesn't support Open GL technology. Try to change video settings inside game, but it seems like you can not play that game.

I hope I was helpfull.

Slow process

Try setting the process priority to high. Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open task manager. Click Processes tab, right click on process that you want it run faster. Set priority to High and you are done. There are 6 priority levels for you to choose: Realtime, High, Above Normal, Normal, Below Normal and Low. For example, you might want to adjust your Nero to High level and see its running faster.

Of course, you can also tweak for other processes provided you know
what you are doing. Sometime, you want your game to run faster then
you can set your game.exe process to Realtime. In my case, I want my iPod Touch synchronize faster so I set high priority for iPodService.exe.

Trying to run too many programs at the same time can cause display problems such as jittery or choppy video. If you notice erratic or reduced visual performance on your computer, try one or more of the actions described below.

1.The more programs you have open, the more system resources Windows needs. Try closing programs that you're not currently using, or reducing the window size.

2.Even if you have only a few programs running, some programs (such as video-editing programs) and features (such as high-definition television) use a lot of system resources. Running too many of these programs at the same time puts a strain on system resources and might degrade display quality or make video appear jittery or disconnected.

On some computers, very high resolution require a lot of system resources to display properly. If you notice problems at high resolutions, try lowering the resolution until the problems disappear.

1 open display from control panel

  1. In the left pane, click Adjust resolution.

  2. In the Resolution list, click the resolution you want, and then click Apply.

If you set the DPI higher than 96, and you're running the Aero desktop experience, the text and other items on the screen might appear blurry in some programs that aren't designed for high-DPI display. To avoid this problem, follow these steps:

Set pixels too high. Now monitor won't display.

Native resolution: 1280 x 1024 @60Hz, That is what you need to set the PC video resolution to. Running XP? Boot up in safe mode (hit F8 while booting up), set the resolution to 640x 480, then reboot into normal mode, reset the resolution to 1280 x 1024 @60Hz.

Input not supported

Do you get anything on the screen when you first turn on your computer?

If you do the windows resolution somehow got set to high for the screen to handle. To fix this press the F8 key a couple times after the BIOS splash screen goes away ( The screen that has HP or DELL, etc on it). If done at the right time it will bring you to a menu that has several options including safe mode. You'll want to pick " Enable VGA mode." From there it will start to load Windows, but everything on the screen will be large. Once windows is fully loaded find a empty spot on your desktop and right click. From the menu that pops up please select Properties. It will open up a box that says "Display Properties." Click the tab that says Settings. On this tab move the resolution slider to right right a click or two to make the monitor normal size and click apply.
