We have a glasstop range and today some water bolied over onto the stove. This has happened before and the water simply stayed there or burned off. Today, the water apparently seeped into the oven are because we received a code (F9 -3) and were instructed on the display to call the service line. We did and they insytructed us to hold down the "cancel" button for 5 seconds or unplug the unit or turn of the power source. We tried the cancel button and shut off electrical power to the range but it did not reset. The "F9-3" code came back and the display continued to instruct us to call service. The stove top works but we are unable to bake or broil. Before we call service, can we do anything else to troupble shoot?
Paul, the F9-3 code has to do with the oven door lock motor assy.. Water must have gotten on to it and now the fault. There is a quick test mode on the model ending in aab, if yours ends in this try this. Unplug the oven for 30 seconds, plug it back in and press and hold the cancel and broil buttons together. It should enter test mode. When in the test mode press the clean button to see if the motor activates and resets. Press cancel to exit the test mode...Catriver...post back
